Basket and hat weaving
Basket and hat weaving is an age old art handed down by the Fijians from generation to generation. You will learn the art of weaving a hat to keep the Fijian sun at bay or weaving a basket for mum to go fishing or pick vegetables from the garden.

Coconut bowls
There is no better spot to try coconut bowling than the manicured lawns of Crusoe's Retreat.

Glass bottom boat
For those guests who would like to view the beautiful coral formations of the surrounding reef without getting their feet wet, our complementary glass bottom boat departs daily. We also have boat trips through the mangrove areas.

Nature walks
Some of the most unusual flora and fauna in Fiji can be found in and around Crusoe's Retreat. We usually have Nature Walks a couple of times each week led by one of the activities staff.

Village Walks
A visit to the Namaqumaqua Village on one of our escorted walks is a must. Guests can see how the local villagers live in their natural environment and learn about the history of Fiji and life in a communal Fijian village. The ladies of the village also offer for sale some beautiful local shells and artifacts.

Picnic at Matadradra Beach
Join the activities staff for a few hours on this private secluded beach either swimming, snorkeling or just sunbaking for a few hours. Matadradra - getting red eyes from the sparkling white sands - is equal to any beach in Fiji. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch, a few drinks and soak up the sun sand and sea. One of the resort's most popular trips. This trip is dependent on suitable tides

Snorkeling
Crusoe's Retreat boasts the best coral reef on the Coral Coast. We run snorkeling trips by boat to pristine coral formations at least once per day, and tide permitting, twice a day.
The Activities Board indicates the time of each trip on a daily basis. The times will change each day due to tide conditions.
We also offer the PADI Snorkeling course for those guests seeking some instruction to get the best out of their snorkeling.

Scuba Diving
The Resort has its own fully accredited PADI scuba diving operation that is operated by Dive Crusoe's. You can dive the many sites on the local reef or we can arrange to dive the world renowned Beqa Lagoon.
Dive trips to our reef are only 5 minutes away and operate according to demand.
There are over a dozen different dive sites, all within a short boat ride from the Resort, and offering dives for the novice to the experienced.
We offer full certification and specialty courses. For those guests who are not divers, but would like to try the exhilarating experience of scuba diving, we run the very popular PADI Discover Scuba Diving course.

Tennis
It's not Wimbledon but our grass surface tennis court by the ocean is great for a hit out early in the morning or in between snorkeling trips.

Volleyball
In Fijian tradition, impromptu volleyball matches are organized by our staff. Good fun and the guests always have a great time.
